“What counts in life is not the mere fact that we have lived. It is what difference we have made to the lives of others that will determine the significance of the life we lead.” – Nelson Mandela

Allison Harper Fund 2013

The Us4You Foundation recently sponsored a Huawei Smartphone in support of the Allison Harper Fund.

Allison Harper (48) was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 1997, and has been wheelchair-bound for the past five years. Her husband, Tom passed away in 2010 after struggling with leukemia for many years.

Allison has three children, Samantha (23), Nic (22) and Daniel (16). Her youngest son, Daniel, is being fostered and her eldest, Samantha works and lives in Ballito. Allison has now been placed in Graceland Nursing Home in Glenwood, Durban.

Allison doesn't receive a monthly income and relies totally on the generosity of friends and the public to support her ongoing needs.

Brian and Liz McQueen held a raffle, ‘Tea for Ten’ on 5 August 2013. The Us4You Foundation sponsored a Huawei Smartphone for the cause. All monies collected were donated to The Allison Harper Fund.

The winner was absolutely delighted!
