Cycle Challenge 2014

The Ride for a Purpose campaign has proven to provide an incomparable platform for cyclists to create awareness about personal causes that are close to their hearts.

This year a team of 77 cyclists enrolled in the Momentum 947 Cycle Challenge to “Ride for a Purpose” on 16 November 2014, to help raise funds for the Us4You Foundation to build a new school in Soshanguve.

Plastic View School in Soshanguve was originally based at a dumping site, which became unsafe for the kids. The community members decided to relocate the school to a house in the area, but it was still not up to standard. The Us4You Foundation secured land where we will build a new, fully functional school for these kids. The new school will adhere to the standards of the Department of Social Services.

The total cost of the project will be in excess of R1,000,000.00 and is part of the work done by the Holy Cross sisters, CBC School and the Knights of da Gama.

Thank you to all our sponsors and cyclists!

Congratulations to all the Us4You Minions who finished the race. It’s an awesome achievement!
