School of Hope - Soshanguve Phase 1 2015

From a dumpsite to a fully functional school!

The Us4You Foundation has been hard at work, raising funds to realise a dream of building a fully functional school for the children in Soshanguve.

Phase one of the dream is taking shape in the form of two classrooms, ablution facilities, a fully functional kitchen and sick bay. We continue to raise funds and seek sponsorship in order to commence with the second phase which will include painting, two more class rooms, a play area and a mini soccer field.

A little background:

Plastic View School in Soshanguve was originally based at a dumping site, which became unsafe for the kids. The community members decided to relocate the school to a house in the area, but it was still not up to standard. The Us4You Foundation secured land where we are busy building a new, fully functional school for these kids. The new school, Emmanuel School of Hope will adhere to the standards of the Department of Social Services.
